Before my mouse worked Then my comp says it's unrecognized After that the mouse's red light stopped flashing?
I don't know much about computers. I'm using a laptop. My mouse is a Dynex optical notebook retractable mouse (sorry if my question is missing punctualization marks, I only had like 115 characters for my question.) Please help me solve this problem, I don't know what else to do.
I tried plugging the mouse to another laptop and the computer completely ignored it, it didn't say anything about not recognizing the mouse. I think it has to do with the mouse stopping flashing its red light.
Sometimes my mouse suddenly flashes its red light randomly but then it stops again, this happens rarely.
I tried restarting the computer with my mouse still plugged in, but nothing happens still.
I tried to put other things im the same USB port, and they work. I also tried to put my mouse in different ports, but I'm still stuck with this problem.
Try plugging another USB device into the USB port to verify the port is working. If so, plug the mouse into another port and see if you get the same result. Try the mouse in another computer and see if it works. Also try reloading the mouse drivers. If none of that works, then it is time for a new mouse.
